KIEV, Oct. 12 – An Austrian and a Spanish company are to bid in a tender to build the Beskidsky railway tunnel in Zakarpattia region.

"We have already completed preliminary qualification of the companies. The first technical stage is coming to an end at the moment. We hope to finalize it in about a week and pass to the second stage. By the end of the year we will sign an agreement with the contractor," Yuriy Symchuk, the head of the credit agreements department of the State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia), told journalists in Kiev on Wednesday.
