KIEV, Oct. 8 – Despite statements by Ukrainian GSM operators that the price of a license for the use of the 2 GHz radio frequency spectrum to provide 3G mobile communications services is very expensive, the final price set at the tender could double, according to experts polled by Interfax-Ukraine.
"From the point of view of the National Communications Regulatory Commission (NCRC), the terms of the future tender are optimal for receiving the maximum price, as the sale of one license would increase competition among bidders. The initial price of UAH 400 million is indicative, and during the tender it could more than double," an analyst from TASK Investment Group, Vyacheslav Ivanishin, said.
