MPs from four of five Parliament factions push tobacco ad ban
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Sept. 28 – Lawmakers from four of the Ukrainian parliament's five factions have proposed a ban on any advertising and promoting of the sale of tobacco, including through event sponsorship, the advertising of tobacco-related trademarks of goods and services, and other subjects of intellectual property rights under which tobacco articles are produced.

Moreover, MPs demanded the imposition of tough fines for violations of the ban.

This is stipulated in bill No. 5164 on amendments to some Ukrainian laws on a ban on the advertising, sponsorship and promotion of tobacco sales, which has been recently registered in parliament.
