ZAPORIZHIA, Sept. 18 – If the presidential election were to be held next Sunday, the three first places would be won by Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and leader of the NGO Front of Changes Arseniy Yatseniuk, according to a survey carried out by the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) on September 8-12, 2009.
NISS Director Yuriy Ruban presented the results of the survey at a press conference in Kiev on Friday.
According to Ruban, 21.3% of those polled would have voted for Yanukovych, 14% of would have opted for Tymoshenko and 10.1% would have supported Yatseniuk.
