KIEV, Sept. 14 – President Viktor Yushchenko has complained about the non-transparency of the financial liabilities and agreements that Ukraine has taken on under the Geneva agreements on the introduction of digital television that it signed in 2006.
"Why was an agreement concluded which forced on Ukraine a more expensive concept of the introduction of digital television? Why don't we ask why 2012 is the year of the introduction of digital television in Ukraine, and how will we broadcast the events of 2012 [the European football championship] around the world on relay channels that do not exist," Yushchenko said at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on Friday.
