KIEV, Sept. 14 - The United States Department of Agriculture has forecast the grain harvest in Ukraine in 2009 at 42.45 million tons, which is 1 million tons up on the forecast it made a month ago.
According to a USDA report published on Sept. 11, in particular, the wheat harvest is expected at 20 million tons against 25.9 million tons (USDA's evaluation) in 2008, and the fodder grain harvest at 22.45 million tons, compared to last year's 26.22 million tons.
