Ukraine in for rough talks with IMF, says deputy prime minister
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Sept. 1 – The upcoming talks between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund on the allocation of the fourth tranche under the Stand-By Arrangement will be difficult, Ukrainian Deputy Finance Minister Valeriy Alioshyn said.

He said that the difficulties could be linked to the need to discuss amendments to the country's state budget for this year.

Also, the sides will have to discuss the maximum size of the state debt set for 2009, he said.
