KIEV, Aug. 20 – The National Bank of Ukraine called on bankers to "treat with understanding the need to distinguish between clients' forex applications and speculative bids."

Central bank officials on Thursday held consultations with bankers to discuss prospects for forex rate dynamics, one of the participants in the meeting told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Following the meeting three ad hoc groups have been set up under the National Bank of Ukraine to study proposals put forth by banks," the source said.
