KIEV, Aug. 14 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny on Friday ordered the closure of natural gas supplies to KievEnergo, a power and heat producer that supplies energy to the country’s capital, for incurred natural gas debts.

Naftogaz, in a statement released by the press service, ordered UkrTransGaz, a subsidiary that operates gas pipelines moving Russian gas across Ukraine, and KievGaz, a gas distributor, to start shutting gas supplies to KievEnergo.
