KIEV, Aug. 11 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny apparently paid for July imports of Russian gas by selling an issue of UAH 18.6 billion in state bonds the state contributed to the national oil and gas company's charter capital.

The volume of Ukrainian state bonds in circulation increased by UAH 18.612 billion in the week of August 3-10, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
