KIEV, Aug. 7 – Kharkiv-based Turboatom, Ukraine's large turbine producer, in October 2009 plans to ship the first wheel for a vertical water turbine of Chinese Shensigou hydro power plant as a part of a contract signed with Russia's Power Machines on supply of equipment for the plant.

The Turboatom's press service reported that in May 2009 the company revised the term for the implementation of the contract under a request of the customer, trimming it by six months thanks to a cut in production cycles.
