KIEV, July 30 - A team of experts from the European Commission arrived in Ukraine to check the country’s natural gas underground storage facilities, Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the state energy company, reported Thursday.

The arrival of the team suggests the EC and Ukraine are making progress in talks over a loan for purchasing enough gas to ensure steady European gas transit during the winter.
