KIEV, July 28 – The grain harvest in Ukraine in 2009 is to fall to 37-38 million tons, which would still be the second-largest figure over the past 10 years, according to Kernel Group, a large operator on Ukraine's sunflower seed oil market.
"Taking into account a 37 million tons harvest and ending stocks exceeding three million tons, we expect that 16-18 million tons of grain would be exported in the 2009-2010 marketing season," reads a company report on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
