KIEV, July 22 – Luhanskteplovoz holding company, a monopolist in the production of cargo diesel locomotives in Ukraine, believes the purchase by State Rail Transport Administration, also known as Ukrzaliznytsia, of 10 interregional electric trains and four diesel trains from Hyundai is inappropriate.

"This intention triggers nothing but bewilderment, as Luhanskteplovoz has recently put forth a proposal concerning the creation of new models of interregional diesel and electric trains with prospects for their launch before the [Euro 2012] European Football Championship, and we will in every way prove our advantages," said Luhanskteplovoz Director General Viktor Bykadorov.
