KIEV, July 20 – The share of bad loans in the overall amount of loans provided by Ukrainian banks to their clients in June 2009 grew by 0.5 percentage notches, to 5.4% by July 1, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
The amount of bad loans in monetary terms in June expanded by 11.5%, or by UAH 4.182 billion, to UAH 40.679 billion, the NBU said.
Since the beginning of the year, the amount of bad loans has soared by almost 2.3 times, or by UAH 22.664 billion.
