KIEV, July 14 – The Ukrainian National Agency for Efficient Use of Energy Resources, the National Space Agency of Ukraine, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Sumitomo Group have signed a letter of intent on the joint manufacture of 1 MW and 2.4 MW wind power units on the basis of Pivdenmash engineering plant in Dnipropetrovsk.

The document was signed on July 9, 2009, said the Ukrainian National Agency for Efficient Use of Energy Resources.

The pilot project in that field, which will be implemented with direct Japanese investment, will be launched as early as in 2009.
