KIEV, July 13 - British oil and gas company Cadogan Petroleum plc, which owns assets in Ukraine, has said that the attack on its executive director and head of its office in Ukraine Ian Baron is connected with his professional activities on these posts.

"Several unidentified people, who were watching him not far from Kiev funicular railway, attacked and beat him. Passers-by, who witnessed the attack, called in an ambulance and the director was sent to the nearest hospital," the company said in a press release issued on Monday.
