KIEV, July 9 – The amendments to this year's state budget and the law on the National Bank of Ukraine passed by the Verkhovna Rada on July 1 will only worsen the macroeconomic situation in the country, ex-governor of the NBU Serhiy Tihipko said.

The decision to finance preparations for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship by restructuring part of the National Bank's revenues, as proposed by the amendment, is unacceptable, Tihipko said on Wednesday.
