KIEV, July 8 – The basic rent rates for retail and office space in Kiev in the first quarter of 2009 reached the level of 2004-2005, Colliers International Managing Director in Ukraine Oleksandr Nosachenko said.

"Summarizing the results of the first half of 2009, [we can say] that basic rent rates reached the 2004-2005 level. It is paradoxical, but despite almost falling by half, the rent rates in Kiev have only returned to the present price range seen in the majority of capitals in central, western and eastern Europe," he said.
