KIEV, July 2 – Ukraine exported 24.7 million tons of grain during the 2008/2009 marketing year (July 2008 through June 2009) making the country one of the world's three largest grain exporters, the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation reported.
"The total export of Ukrainian grain crops from the 2008 harvest has reached nearly 25 million tons. In particular, the export included 12.7 million tons of wheat, 6.3 million tons of barley, and 5.5 million tons of corn. All of the possible forecasts by analysts have been surpassed," reads the statement.
