KIEV, June 29 – The European Union on Monday submitted proposals to Ukraine for an undisclosed loan aimed at helping the country to buy enough Russian natural gas ensure steady gas transit in the winter.
Ihor Umanskiy, the acting finance minister who joined the meeting in Brussels, said he will probably present the proposals at a meeting of the government on Wednesday.
“We received the written proposals,” Umaskiy told reporters in Brussels. “These are the proposals that haven’t been made for Naftogaz, but for the state of Ukraine.”
