KIEV, June 18 – KfW a German development bank, is to earmark up to EUR65,000 to Haase Energietechnik AG (Germany) for research work on a domestic waste landfill in Kremenchuk (Poltava region) under a waste recycling improvement project, said Christian Doerner, the director of KfW's Kiev office.
A respective agreement was signed on Wednesday by the mayor of Kremenchuk, Mykola Hlukhov, and a representative of KfW.
After the signing of the agreement, the director of KfW's Kiev office said that Haase Energietechnik AG, which was selected during an international tender, is to drill six holes at the town's landfill to determine the potential for the production of methane from the waste deposit.
