KIEV, June 9 – The National Bank of Ukraine broke the law during the allocation of refinancing fund to banks in late 2008, the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine has stated.
"Most of the decisions made by the NBU board on the issue of refinancing credits were not in line with the requirements of existing legal acts, and a fifth of the credit funds were spent on crediting economic entities, for example, Naftogaz Ukrayiny, and not on the financial recovery of banks," said Valentyna Symonenko, head of the chamber.
