KIEV, June 3 – Private power plants stopped buying coal from state coal mines on June 1, said Oleh Pohodin, the director general of the Coal of Ukraine state company.

He said that private power plants have a possibility to buy and store coal at their warehouses.

Pohodin said that at present, the warehouses of Skhidenergo Ltd. are only 63% full, and the warehouses of private heat power plants are no more than 50% full, while the warehouses of National JSC Energy Company of Ukraine are over 90% full.
