KIEV, May 27 – Yuriy Lutsenko, the disgraced interior minister who was briefly detained by German police earlier this month, resumed his duties in the government Wednesday, while the parliamentary investigation into his drunken melee continues.
The move, which follows an eight-day suspension from the government, suggests Lutsenko has won support from Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and may eventually survive the international scandal.
