KIEV, May 25 – Statements by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Tuchynov are an attempt to hide the catastrophic aftereffects of January's Ukrainian-Russian gas agreements from the Ukrainian people, according to Yuriy Boyko, Regions shadow fuel and energy minister and former head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny.

"The fixed style of [Premier] Yulia Tymoshenko's team is to paint the state of affairs in the economy in bright colors. In particular, the recent statement of Tuchynov is an awkward attempt to hide the catastrophic aftermath of the January gas agreements for the Ukrainian people," Boyko said.
