KHABAROVSK, May 22 - Russia cannot provide guarantees to Europe that there will not be any more gas stoppages through the fault of Ukraine in the future, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.
"Russia did not and will not give any assurances. For what reason? There are no problems on our side. We have no problems at all over gas, or the fulfillment of our obligations. Let those who must pay for the gas make assurances," Medvedev said at a news conference after a Russia-EU summit in Khabarovsk on Friday.
