KIEV, May 21 -- Moody's Investors Service has placed the ratings of Ukrainian-based PrivatBank, Savings Bank of Ukraine (also known as Oschadbank) and Ukreximbank banks on review for possible downgrade.

According to Moody's, the review of the senior debt and deposit ratings will look at the extent to which Ukraine's ability to provide support to its banking system, should such support be needed, has changed in the midst of the ongoing global economic and credit crisis.
