KIEV, May 18 – The National Bank of Ukraine has cancelled a moratorium on the early withdrawal of bank deposits that has been in effect since October 2008.

A respective decision is foreseen in bank resolution No. 282 of May 12, 2009, which came into force on the day it was signed.

The moratorium was cancelled to strengthen various positive trends seen in the restoration of the trust of depositors in the Ukrainian banking system, the central bank said.
