KIEV, May 15 – Natural gas in Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities as of May 1 reached a record of 16.843 billion cubic meters, which is 11.8% up as of May 1, 2008, and 11.6% up as of May 1, 2007.

The Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine that gas stocks in underground storage facilities as of May 1, 2009 were more than twice up (by 8.641 billion cubic meters) compared as of May 1, 2006.
