KIEV, May 12 – The Nord Stream and South Stream gas pipeline projects implemented by Russia to diversify gas supplies to Europe are "politicized projects," President Viktor Yushchenko said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

In Yushchenko’s opinion, it is very difficult to "find grounds for spending $12-15 billion to implement these projects rather than to ensure the [gas] transit through the existing system."
