PRAGUE, May 7 – Ukraine is interested in attracting U.S. investment to modernize its gas transit system, President Viktor Yushchenko said at a meeting with U.S. Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar in Prague on Thursday.

"There are currently many promising projects," Yushchenko said, adding that the issue includes the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
