KIEV, April 28 - Ukraine has received over UAH3 billion (about $360 million at the official interbank rate of exchange) in revenue for the sold quotas to cut carbon dioxide emission under the Kyoto Protocol, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced.
"We have cut carbon dioxide emission and got over UAH 3 billion. This is Kyoto protocol, an international program in action. And this is the money we have got just for reducing carbon dioxide emission. We have gone through all of these procedures, which means that over UAH 3 billion will be put into the reconstruction and construction of Ukraine's boiler plants," Tymoshenko told journalists in in Kiev region.
