KIEV, April 28 – Donbas Fuel-Energy Company (DTEK) M&A and Strategy Director Vitaliy Butenko said that his company is ready to export up to 200 MW of Ukrainian electricity to Hungary at prices of the Ukrainian wholesale electricity market, the company's press service has reported, citing M&A and strategy director at DTEK.
Butenko said that a fall in exports of Ukrainian electricity in Q1, 2009 led to the idle state of electricity generating facilities of the Burshtynsky Island, which has affected Ukraine's income from electricity exports, which in Q1, 2009 shrank by 44.5% or $40.7 million year-over-year, to $50.8 million, including a decline of 24.7% or $16.6 million from supplies of electricity to European countries, to $50.7 million.
