KIEV, April 23 – President Viktor Yushchenko has signed amendments to the law on electricity regarding electricity exports, which were adopted by Parliament on March 19, according to a posting on the official Web site of the president.

According to the document, electricity for export from Ukraine should be bought at the wholesale market price, and access to power transmission lines for exports is to be awarded at auctions, under new amendments to the law on electricity.
