KIEV, April 13 – Total investment in commercial real estate in Ukraine in 2008 was around $430 million, which is 14% less year-over-year.
Kiev-based Colliers International consulting company, referring to its annual report on the real estate market, said all deals last year were signed in January to September.
The company said that the leader in investment transactions was the office segment, where deals worth around $200 million (46% less year-over-year) were signed. In particular, in Q3, 2008 a deal on sale of the portfolio of Dutch developer Gooioord B.V. (around 14,000 square meters) consisting of several office centers mainly located in downtown Kiev, was finalized. In addition, a deal was signed on the exchange of assets of the Horizon Office Towers business center with an additional payment (13,000 square meters for leasing) on a land plot of two hectares in downtown Kiev.
