KIEV, April 9 - Ukraine reduced electricity output 13.7% to 46.735 billion kilowatt hours in Q1 compared to the same period of 2008, the Fuel and Energy Ministry told Interfax.
Nuclear power plants reduced electricity output 13.6% to 22.202 billion kWh in the three months, while thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants reduced output 18.9% to 19.065 billion kWh. Communal CHP and block stations reduced output 12.3% to 2.255 billion kWh. Production at hydroelectric power plants grew 34.8% to 3.213 billion kWh in the period.
