KIEV, April 3 – Ukraine consumed around 2.5 billion cubic meters of imported natural gas in January to March, which is around 50% of the volume stipulated in contracts for this period, said Naftogaz Ukrayiny spokesman Valentyn Zemliansky.
"In Q1, a fall in gas consumption by Ukraine and the European countries was seen. Over the period, Ukraine tentatively consumed around 2.5 billion cubic meters, while European countries – 16.4 billion cubic meters [of gas]. We're talking about gas that was transited through Ukraine," he said during an online conference on Thursday.
