KIEV, March 27 – Japan is considering the possible allocation of a $5 billion loan to Ukraine, according to Ukrainian Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn.
He told the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty that this question had been discussed during talks between Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, Japanese Finance Minister Kaoru Yosano, and the leadership of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
Danylyshyn said that next week, Japan is planning to send its experts to Ukraine to finally determine the terms and directions for using the loan.
