KIEV, March 26 – The retaining of present tariffs for vehicle owner civil liability to third parties insurance, also known as OSAGO, could adversely affect the insurance market in three or four months, the president of ASKA insurance company, Oleksandr Sosis, said on Wednesday.
He said that there was a lack of profitability on OSAGO when the tariffs were calculated in 2005, even taking into account the financial situation of those times. But due to the skyrocketing dollar exchange rate and the prices of car repairs, the losses of insurers have jumped, Sosis said.
