KIEV, March 25 – Optimism regarding the state of the current account of Ukraine's balance of payments in February fell, according to Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of the group of advisors to the central bank's governor.
"There was no development of trends in the current account. However, some disturbing signs appeared. January's optimism fell... The discord movement of compounds of the balance of payment led to a new rise [by $336 million] in the passive net balance of the consolidated balance of payment [to $2.1 billion]," he told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting preliminary data.
