KIEV, March 17 – The surplus of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in January 2009 was estimated at $397.8 million, whereas in January 2008 there was a foreign trade deficit estimated at $975.2 million, the State Statistics Committee reported on Tuesday.

As the committee reported earlier, the deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods January through December 2008 was $18.532 billion.
