KIEV, March 13 – Viktor Pinchuk, the Ukrainian philanthropist and entrepreneur, has been named the richest Ukrainian by Forbes magazine, replacing Rinat Akhmetov, the leader in 2007.
Four Ukrainians entered the Forbes billionaires list, which was posted on Thursday on the magazine's Web site.
The net worth of 48-year-old Pinchuk amounts to $2.6 billion. He heads the 246-260 category of the list. According to Forbes, last year he sold Ukrsotsbank to Italian UniCredit Group for $2.2 billion.
