KIEV, March 13 – Ruukki Ukraine has opened a metal tile, profiled flooring and sandwich panel plant near Kopylov in Kiev region.

The president of Ruukki Construction, Saku Sipola, said after the official opening of the plant on Thursday that the launch of the plant is a part of a concern's strategy for expanding its presence in Central and Eastern Europe.

Finland's Rautaruukki concern currently has 18 plants in 11 countries, and since 2005 the concern has bought and built up seven companies in five countries.
