KIEV, March 11 – The economic downturn will considerably strengthen the positions of Ukrainian pharmaceutical plants, allowing them to upgrade production facilities and increase their market share, according to the Association of Pharmaceutical Producers, which unites large pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine.
The association's president, Petro Bahriy, said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnya weekly newspaper that recently the situation on the pharmaceutical market has started stabilizing: a list of 186 medicines that are subject to regulation and the pegging of prices of medicines to the dollar exchange rate on the day of medicines were supplied to drugstores have helped the work of distributors.
