KIEV, March 6 - Icon Private Equity investment fund, which in 2009 bought a stake in Ukrainian High Technologies (UHT, the Alternet trademark, Kiev), is intending to develop the project into the largest operator of wireless Internet access in Ukraine, Kyrylo Dmitriyev, the president and managing partner of the fund, told Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya newspaper.

"We want to cover Ukraine's seven largest cities with the network. We are planning to provide broadband wireless access service to libraries, educational, medical and other institutions on the condition of covering our costs," he said.
