KIEV, July 18 ??“ Four senior police officers will be dismissed and the entire traffic police department will be disbanded as a result of a dramatic shakeup announced by President Viktor Yushchenko on Monday.

The shakeup of the police, viewed by opinion polls as the most corrupt branch of the government, unleashes Yushchenko??™s most severe yet attack on corruption since his inauguration to the presidency in January.
