KIEV, March 3 – The hryvnia exchange rate in 2009 is expected at UAH 7.50-9 per $1, Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, chairman of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, forecasts.

"There are no macroeconomic grounds for a rate of UAH 15/$1 or even UAH 12 per $1. We set a rate of UAH 7.5-9/$1 in the various budgets of Raiffeisen Bank Aval. We consider, such rate will be maintained for the whole of 2009," he told journalists.
