KIEV, March 2 - Ukraine's steel industry reduced finished roll output 34% year-on-year in January-February to 4.016 million tons, the Industrial Policy Ministry told Interfax.

Crude steel production plummeted 38% to 4.44 million tons and pig iron fell 35% to 3.838 million tons.

The country produced 216,000 tons of steel pipes, down 42% year-on-year. Iron ore concentrate production fell 32% to 7.07 million tons; prepared iron ore fell 29% to 8.282 million tons, including pellets - 22% to 2.813 million tons and sinter ore - 33% to 5.47 million tons; and crude iron ore - 32% to 8.813 million tons.
