KIEV, Feb. 25 – The effect of a 13% temporary extra charge on some goods imported into the country, which are listed in a law on amendments to some Ukrainian laws to improve the state of Ukraine's balance of payments in the wake of the international financial crisis, could be suspended if any World Trade Organization member objects, according to Anna Derevianenko, CEO of the European Business Association.
"If any WTO member objects [to the extra charge], the organization would call on Ukraine to cancel the measures," she said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
